The Amarillo Sandies are riding an 8-game winning streak since dropping the first game of the District 3-5A baseball season.

Tuesday night at 7 p.m., they will face a challenge on the road against the one of the teams tied for 2nd place, the Coronado Mustangs.

Amarillo High is 8-1 in district while Coronado is 7-2 and tied with Monterey. Lubbock Cooper, which handed the Sandies their only district loss, is currently in 4th place at 6-3.

Amarillo High managed to avenge that loss to the Pirates with a 10-0 drubbing at Sandies Field last Saturday.

Fans can listen to the Amarillo High-Coronado game Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the Texas Panhandle Sports Network at www.tpsnsports.com.
