The Amarillo High Lady Sandies broke open a tight game in the 4th quarter to beat Fort Bend Hightower 64-53 on Thursday in San Antonio. That sends the Lady Sandies into the championship game on Saturday against Frisco Liberty.

Hightower was a big, strong, athletic team that gave Amarillo High some problems, but as is usually the case, the Lady Sandies' found a way to win.

Zayla Tinner led the way with 23 points and nine rebounds in playing all 32 minutes of the game. She also had plenty of help as Ashlyn Milton scored 10, and Ansleigh Westlake and Tatym Barnes each had nine points, while Brook Urban ended with 7 and Madison Stokes had six points. The Lady l hit ten 3-pointers, including three by Westlake. Here's the postgame interview with Ansleigh Westlake.
