SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KFDA) - Randall tennis is headed to the state tournament in San Antonio for the fourth time in five years. The team has not lost a match this season.
The Raiders are 32-0 after a win over Canyon in the regional final. The second-ranked Raiders are set to face Lindale in the Class 4A state semifinals.
Head coach Darby Norman said the team’s work ethic and determination have made the group special.
“I’ve said it before, I think with this team they have overachieved more than any team we’ve ever coached,” Norman said. “They bought in, we have great senior leadership as you can tell, and they wanted to make it back to state. And they made that their mission, and 32 times now they’ve showed up for a match, and 32 times they’ve won the darn match.”
More from Coach Norman and several athletes is available on the website.
