AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Three Tascosa baseball players signed with Oklahoma Panhandle State University on Friday, choosing to continue their careers together at the collegiate level.
Cais Fain, Jude Cunningham and Holden True signed surrounded by family and friends, capping their time as Rebels and beginning their next chapter as Aggies.
The trio spent years competing together for the Tascosa program and credited the experience with shaping them as players and teammates.
Fain said the relationships built at Tascosa will carry over to the next level.
“Tascosa taught me a lot about just being family with my teammates and being here has really shown me how I can bond with my teammates and how much it can really affect the way we play,” Fain said. “It can make us so much better in so many different ways. It’s truly a blessing.”

Cunningham said signing alongside his longtime teammates made the moment more meaningful.
“We’ve known each other for almost six years now, so it’s truly amazing to get to go play the sport we love at the next level with two of my best friends,” Cunningham said. “Tascosa just helped me develop into the man I am and the player that I am as well. I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without Coach Patrick or Coach McCoy.”
True said the familiarity between the three will be an asset at Oklahoma Panhandle State.
“I’ve done it for probably almost 10 years now, teammates and against each other,” True said. “It’s going to be fun and it’s a blessing to be with them.”
