COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KFDA) - A pair of Panhandle football programs traveled to College Station for the 2026 UIL state 7-on-7 tournament, which opened Thursday.
Dumas Demons
Dumas turned in a clean performance during Thursday’s pool play, defeating all three opponents to advance undefeated into bracket play.
The Demons’ run ended Friday morning with a one-point loss to Somerset.

Palo Duro Dons
Palo Duro posted dominant performances in two of its three pool play games Thursday, shutting out both Tyler and North Forney. The Dons combined to outscore those two opponents 59-0.
A loss to College Park sandwiched between those wins left Palo Duro at 2-1 heading into bracket play. The Dons are scheduled to face the Allen Eagles on Saturday morning.
