AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Several Panhandle schools are being recognized for their success across multiple sports in the UIL Lone Star Cup standings, which honor the top overall programs in Texas.
Class 1A
Nazareth sits third in the state, fueled by another deep postseason and championship title run from its girls basketball program.
Class 2A
Gruver tied for second after a year filled with success across many sports.
Panhandle also made the list after both the girls and boys basketball programs captured state titles. The girls track and field team finished as state runner-up.
Class 3A
Bushland ranks among the top, making its presence known in both team and individual sports.

Canyon leads the way from the Panhandle in second place, helped by state-level performances throughout the school year.
Randall follows in 18th with winning athletic programs making deep pushes throughout the season.
