AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame announced its full lineup of 2026 inductees & award-winners.
The 68th Annual Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame ceremonies are set for June 7, 2026, at the Amarillo Civic Center Grand Plaza @ 2:00 P.M. CST. Admission is free.

Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame: 2026 Class
#211 — Harold Lewis : Born in Pampa during the Depression, became a standout multi-sport athlete at Pampa High School—starting on the 1954 state championship basketball team during a 72-game winning streak—while also sprinting in track and starring in football as a three-year, all-state two-way starter. He went on to letter at the University of Houston, earn first-team All-Conference while helping the Cougars win the 1957 Missouri Valley Conference title, and later played professionally after being drafted by the Baltimore Colts in the 1959 NFL draft.
#212 — Sherwin Cox: Spent 47 years promoting golf in the Texas Panhandle, including 37 years as the Ross Rogers golf pro and later Amarillo’s director of golf operations, helping elevate the Wildhorse and Mustang courses into Dallas Morning News’s top-50 Texas public-course recognition multiple times. He also earned two national PGA awards (plus 12 West Texas PGA and 10 NTPGA awards), helped grow major tournaments—including co-founding the Amarillo Tournament of Champions in 1994—and served 19 years on the North Texas PGA, including a term as president.

#213 — Teresa Tinner: “Triple T” was a three-time All–Lone Star Conference star for West Texas State (West Texas A&M), helping power the Lady Buffs to a dominant 116–10 four-year run with trips to the NCAA Division II semifinals, the national championship game, and two regional finals. She earned first-team Kodak All-America honors in 1989, finished her career with 777 rebounds (school record) and 1,598 points, and was inducted into the WT Hall of Champions (1997) before having her jersey retired in 2001.
#214 — Ryan Palmer: The most accomplished golfer in Texas Panhandle history, compiling four PGA Tour wins and seven Masters appearances while also playing 30 majors with a best major finish of fifth at the 2014 PGA Championship. He was a standout at Texas A&M (two individual wins, All–Big 12 from 1997–99, school single-season scoring-average record), then earned his PGA card in 2004 after winning four times and leading the money list on the Tight Lies Tour in 2002 and adding a Nationwide Tour win in 2003.
