AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The second and final day of the state tournament wrapped up Tuesday with 32 area players competing across multiple classifications.
Amarillo High finishes sixth in 5A
Amarillo High placed sixth out of 12 teams in Class 5A, posting a two-day total of 623. Senior Addison Britten paced the Sandstorm with an eighth-place individual finish at three over, carding rounds of 72 and 75.
Seniors Tyler Held and junior McKenna Montoya tied for 30th at plus 14. Held posted 78-80, while Montoya shot 77-81. Senior Kylee Demetro placed 37th at plus 16, shooting 78-82. Senior Edee Thacker finished 70th at plus 43 with rounds of 95-92.
Canyon places fifth in 4A
Canyon took fifth out of 12 teams in Class 4A, finishing with a 692. Seniors Lauren Robason and Kyla Cortese tied for 26th individually at plus 24. Robason carded 84-84, while Cortese posted 89-79.
Senior Presley June Davis placed 28th at plus 25, shooting 85-84. Senior Tyler Jackson finished 48th at plus 47 with rounds of 99-92. Senior Jacie Hamilton took 52nd at plus 51, carding 107-88.

Bushland takes sixth in 3A
Bushland placed sixth out of 12 teams in Class 3A, posting a 728. Senior Ava Permenter led the Falcons with a 17th-place individual finish at plus 27, shooting 87-84.
Junior Ella Grice took 33rd at plus 37, carding 93-88. Junior Ariana Marcos and sophomore Kendall Gerber tied for 41st at plus 44. Marcos posted 94-94, while Gerber shot 98-90. Junior Shelby Mabry finished 65th at plus 68 with rounds of 111-101.
Spearman claims silver in 2A, Vega finishes ninth
Spearman posted the highest team finish among area schools, claiming the silver medal in Class 2A. The Lynx took second out of 12 teams, finishing with a 702.
All five Spearman players cracked the top 30 individually. Sophomore Izzabella Slover paced the team with a ninth-place finish at plus 21, carding 78-85. Senior Acey Womble took 13th at plus 36, shooting 87-91. Senior Tessa Holton placed 15th at plus 37 with rounds of 87-92.
Senior Jaslene Baca tied for 26th at plus 44, posting 90-96. Senior Kamryn Bailey tied for 30th at plus 45, shooting 95-92.

Vega took ninth out of 12 teams in Class 2A, finishing with a 815. Sophomore D.J. DeGraaf led the Longhorns both days, placing 33rd individually at plus 48 with rounds of 100-90.
Junior Ashton Hartless took 44th at plus 60, carding 104-98. Junior Cydney Kirkland tied for 48th at plus 64, shooting 103-103. Freshman McCauley Brorman placed 57th at plus 75 with rounds of 116-101. Senior Addison Kahlich finished 70th at plus 94, posting 127-109.
Valley places 11th in 1A
Valley took 11th out of 12 teams in Class 1A, finishing with a 912. Sophomore Hartlee Battey paced the Patriots with a 15th-place individual finish at plus 52, carding 96-100.
Freshman Tandy Hughes placed 35th at plus 76, shooting 114-106. Junior Allie Pigg tied for 48th at plus 92 with rounds of 124-112. Freshman Paisley Cruse took 64th at plus 116, posting 131-129. Freshman Mary Espinoza finished 67th at plus 133, carding 136-141.
Solo competitors
Two area golfers competed individually in Class 1A. Shamrock junior Aspen McAllister placed 23rd at plus 64, shooting 98-110. Claude sophomore Breleigh Butler took 42nd at plus 84 with rounds of 116-112.
