KRESS, Texas (KFDA) - The Kress Kangaroos baseball and softball teams defeated their district opponents on Friday.
The Kangaroos baseball team took on Valley, defeating the Patriots 13-3 in five innings.
Drew Morphis was the heavy hitter for the Kangaroos, totaling four RBIs, two hits and two runs in four at-bats. Riley Bradshaw followed suit, wracking up three RBIs off one at-bat.
Xane Garcia notched 15 strikeouts in five innings pitched for the Roos.
Valley’s Damien Valdes notched six strikeouts in the loss.

The Lady Roos picked up right where their counterpart left off, getting the 14-0 win over Claude in five innings.
Zowie Vuittonet was the big performer today, notching four RBIs in three at-bats of one hit for an inside the park home run.
Kress pitcher Kyla Slack struck out four batters in four innings, allowing no runs off four hits.
Claude’s Brenna Hatfield allowed all 14 runs off 10 hits while striking out five batters.
