AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Palo Duro defeated Caprock 12-2 on Tuesday behind an 11-run fourth inning at HODGETOWN.
Palo Duro took control in the top of the fourth, plating 11 runs on seven hits. Jabrelyn Wilson doubled to drive in two runs, the biggest hit of the inning. Hunter Braddock singled in one run, Miguel Gomez was hit by a pitch and later drew a walk, each time driving in a run.
Jose Moncayo and Jhoan Valenzula each walked to score runs. Bryce Lomeli-Dela Cerda singled in one run. Three errors by Caprock accounted for five additional runs.

Lomeli-Dela Cerda picked up the win on the mound. He pitched five and one-third innings in relief, giving up one hit and no runs while striking out 10 and walking two.
Dezmen Molina suffered the loss for Caprock. He pitched three innings, allowing six runs on three hits with two strikeouts and four walks.

Palo Duro finished with 11 hits. Moncayo drove in three runs and went 2-for-3. Wilson led the team with three hits, going 3-for-4. Wilson and Gomez each had two RBIs. Braddock and Domanik Mata each had multiple hits.
Trea Sauceda and Molina each had one hit for Caprock. Burgess and Tristen Terry each drove in one run.
The teams play again Friday at Palo Duro.
