CHILDRESS, Texas (KFDA) - The Childress Lady Cats have turned heads this season and remain undefeated in district play.
The Lady Cats went through a tough non-district schedule with 17 wins, one loss and one tie. They have continued their hot streak with three district wins this season, scoring 47 runs in their last three games.
Offense leads the way
Childress head softball coach Charlsi Bozeman said the team’s emphasis on strong offense has propelled them this season.
“We’ve worked a lot in the offseason in the fall, just in the cages, and then again, once season has started, we spend, I would say, 2/3 of our practice time hitting our defense is good and we have a great pitcher, so we know we have those things working for us,” The Childress Lady Cats have turned heads this season and remain undefeated in district play.

“We’ve worked a lot in the offseason in the fall, just in the cages. Ansley Parr, she’s done amazing for us in the circle. She’s really an anchor on our defense. So how can we help her out? We can put up a lot of runs, and so that’s sort of been our mode of attack this year.”
