Eight area boys basketball players earn UIL All-State recognition

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Eight area boys basketball players received 2025-26 UIL All-State recognition from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, closing out a season that produced two state championship teams and multiple deep playoff runs.

Valley and Panhandle each claimed state titles, with both programs producing MVP honorees.

Class 4A

West Plains senior Kaden Hooker earned All-State recognition after the Wolves advanced to the state semifinals.

Class 2A

Four area players received All-State recognition in Class 2A, including Panhandle senior Caden Armes who was named state champion and MVP after the Panthers claimed the title.

Gruver sophomore Mason Lankford earned recognition after the Greyhounds reached the state semifinals.

Farwell senior Braddock Foster was also selected after the Steers advanced to the area round.

Class 1A

Three players rounded out the area’s All-State selections in Class 1A.

Valley sophomore Corbin Taylor and senior Kanyon Taylor were both honored as state champions following the Patriots’ title run. Corbin Taylor was named the state game MVP.

Texline sophomore Bo Bradley earned a spot on the All-State roster after the Tornadoes reached the regional semifinals.

Nazareth junior Zane Schulte was also selected after the Swifts advanced to the regional finals.
