AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Fifteen Panhandle-area girls basketball players received 2025-26 UIL All-State recognition from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, closing out a season that produced two state champions and eight regional finalists.

Nazareth capped the year by claiming its 27th program title, with Panhandle following to secure its third state championship.

Class 5A–3A

All five players selected from Class 5A-3A helped their respective teams advance to the regional finals.

Tascosa seniors Nic’Kiyah Fisher and Devaeh Johnson both earned spots on the list, as did Canyon seniors Kambrie Graser and Tai Wright.

Bushland’s Berklee Billington represented Class 3A among the honorees.

Class 2A

Six area players received All-State recognition in Class 2A, including three from the Division I state champions.

Panhandle’s Paige Bixby, a senior, was joined by juniors Allie Ashley and Riley Segura.

Gruver freshman Payton Merkel earned recognition after the Lady Hounds reached the state semifinals.

Wellington sophomore Taytum Kane was also selected, along with Clarendon senior Kenidee Hayes, who crossed the 1,000-point career milestone in February.

Class 1A

Four players rounded out the area’s All-State selections in Class 1A.

Nazareth senior Madison Brockman and junior Kambri Cleavinger, who was named the state game MVP, were both honored following the Swiftettes’ championship run.

Texline juniors Jada Clay and Alexandra Montes also earned spots on the All-State roster.
