AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - With the high school girls basketball playoffs winding down, Tascosa remains the last Class 5-A team in the viewing area still dancing. The Lady Rebels are preparing for a high-stakes rematch in the regional finals.
This next game will be familiar territory for the Lady Rebels. Not only is it a top-10 showdown, it is also a postseason rematch from last year against Denton Ryan, who defeated Tascosa 38-28.
Coach Tabor confident in team’s preparation
With this game being something players and coaches have been waiting for, head coach Zac Tabor said he knows the deeper you go in the playoffs the tougher the competition gets. He is confident the Lady Rebels will be ready to execute and compete against their next opponent.
“There’s a lot on the line and a lot to play for and it’s going to be tough and the more you win in the playoffs, the better the competition gets always and we’re about to face a pretty tough opponent on Friday. The girls are going to be ready we’re going to have a good day of prep today and tomorrow and we’re going to go out there and play our best basketball I don’t have any doubt about that Friday night,” Tabor said.
