Godbolt continued his hot shooting from the top of the key, connecting on another three-pointer. He finished with 33 points.
Fulton kept Plainview competitive, slamming home a missed three-pointer with authority for two points. He scored 28 points in the loss.
Coach’s perspective
Tascosa head boys basketball coach Steve Jackson said the third quarter was key to the victory.
“We had a really big third quarter, shot the ball really well in the third. Also, did some good things defensively that really helped our team kind of get that boost that we needed. But again, we still got one more district game and so we’re approaching it, you know, as every game is the most important game. Our next game against Caprock is our most important game and we need to switch our focus to that,” Jackson said.
