AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Tascosa completed a basketball doubleheader sweep of Lubbock Cooper Tuesday night, with the No. 10 Lady Rebels winning 52-33 and the boys team defeating the Pirates 64-49 to maintain their position as district leaders.
Girls game
Angel Green sparked a third-quarter run with a steal and fast-break layup for the Lady Rebels.
In the fourth quarter, Lubbock Cooper’s Ada O’suoji drove to the basket and scored an and-one finish despite contact from the defense.
The Lady Rebels responded when Alex Carter found Davaeh Johnson on a cut for a close-range basket.
With time running out, Kenzee Dickson delivered a bounce pass to Carter in the corner, and Carter connected on the three-pointer. Carter led all scorers with 17 points in the victory.

Dickson added 12 points and Johnson contributed 10 points for Tascosa.
The Lady Rebels are now 12-2 in District 3-5A and 27-3 overall.
Boys game
Lubbock Cooper struck first when Obieze O’suoji scored on a midrange jumper in the paint early in the first quarter.
Tascosa answered on the next possession as Ty Collins used a pump fake to get his defender in the air before hitting a shot and drawing a foul for a three-point play opportunity.
The Pirates moved the ball well, with Elijah Vasquez finding O’suoji on the wing for a three-pointer.

Tascosa responded with a three of their own when Ladarius Godbolt spun free and found Jack Corperning open for a triple.
Godbolt finished with 17 points to lead the Rebels to the 64-49 victory.
Ben Kenney added 13 points and Kayvion Blackshere contributed 12 points for Tascosa.
The Rebels are now 11-1 in District 3-5A and 22-5 overall.
