CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The Canyon Lady Eagles have made their way through district play soundly and want to finish strong with just a few games left in the regular season before playoffs begin.
The Lady Eagles are currently ranked No. 2 in Class 4A after posting a 24-2 overall record. They remain undefeated after 11 games in District 4-4A.
Canyon is coming off a 23-point win over Randall last Friday.
With only three games left in the regular season, head coach Tate Lombard said it is imperative to finish strong heading into what they hope will be another strong playoff run.
“For us, it’s just to play every possession and to try to treat it like a loser go home type game. We keep getting better every night out. We don’t want to overlook anybody. We want to play at our best right now leading into a playoff run, and so for us, that comes down to practicing well,” Lombard said.
