UIL finalizes high school athletic realignment through 2027-28 school year

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The UIL’s long-anticipated realignment for high school athletics is now official for the upcoming school year.

Following December’s enrollment release, today’s announcement revealed how area teams will be grouped into districts.

Schools are separated into classifications based on these enrollment numbers: 1A (<105), 2A (105-245), 3A (246-549), 4A (550-1304), 5A (1305-2214), 6A (2215+)
