AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Randall senior tennis star Kynley Craddock has been named NewsChannel 10 Sports GOAT of the Week for her achievements on and off the court.

Craddock is a four-year varsity contributor for the Randall tennis team and has accumulated numerous athletic accolades. She is a four-time state champion in tennis with two gold medals in team tennis, one gold medal in girls doubles and one gold medal in mixed doubles. She also has a bronze medal in both girls doubles and team tennis.

The senior is a two-time Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame inductee, the Texas Girls Coaches Association Tennis Athlete of the Year and a six-time Super Elite member.

Craddock maintains a 3.8 GPA and is involved in production theater, the National Honors Society and the Raidership Club. She has received gold and silver medals in theater when not competing on the tennis court.

“It’s a really big honor just to think that people think me so highly of me and just being able to show what I’ve been able to do and who I am through tennis is just amazing,” Craddock said. “I don’t know what I’m playing in the spring yet but I’m ready to just go out there and be competitive no matter what.”

Randall tennis coach Darby Norman said he is blessed to have coached Craddock throughout her high school career.

“She’s pretty amazing, you know, over the course of a coaching career you’re blessed to have kids that work hard and bring a lot to your program and Kenley’s definitely done that for us over the years,” Norman said. “We knew we were going to get an outstanding player because she was very talented from a young age but even better person, you know, she’s meant so much to our program, all of the gold medals, all of the leadership and the court prowess. We’ve just been blessed to have her.”

Craddock is still deciding on her college plans but hopes to stay competitive in tennis. She will return to the tennis court this spring where she hopes to compete for more state championships.
