AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Several Texas Panhandle high school basketball teams continue to hold top 25 rankings in their respective classifications according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
Girls rankings show Amarillo ISD strength
Three of four Amarillo ISD schools earned spots in the Top 15.
Tascosa leads the way at No. 7, while their upcoming opponent Palo Duro sits at No. 10. Amarillo High rounds out the district representation at No. 13.
The Canyon Lady Eagles dropped one spot from their previous ranking to No. 2 in Class 4A.
Dalhart maintains a top position at No. 9 in Class 3A, and Canadian holds the No. 25 spot.

In Class 2A, Panhandle remains the top-ranked team, while Gruver sits at No. 9 and Wellington at No. 18.
Class 1A features the Nazareth Swiftettes at No. 3, Silverton at No. 11 and Kress at No. 20.
San Jacinto holds the No. 2 position in TAPPS 2A.
Boys teams represent multiple classifications
Amarillo High sits at No. 22 with Palo Duro right behind at No. 23.
Two-thirds of Canyon ISD earned Class 4A rankings, with West Plains at No. 17 and Canyon at No. 24.

No Class 3A teams from the area made the rankings.
The unbeaten Gruver Greyhounds hold the No. 7 spot in Class 2A with a 6-0 record, while Farwell sits at No. 11.
Four Class 1A teams earned rankings: Texline at No. 4, Valley at No. 13, McLean at No. 18 and Nazareth moving up one spot to No. 24.
Two TAPPS 2A Academy teams made the list: Holy Cross Catholic at No. 2 and Ascension at No. 9.
