BUSHLAND, Texas (KFDA) - The Bushland Lady Falcons are ready to begin district play on the basketball court, looking to keep their win streak alive as school resumes this week.

The Lady Falcons had a busy week last week, going 4-0 in the Gruver Classic and then defeating Borger last Friday.

District play begins Friday, and head girls basketball coach Sarah Allen said their tournaments gave them glimpses into tough competition. She hopes the chemistry on the court will be the driving factor in success during district play.

“They just have great chemistry,” Allen said. “This is one of my most fun years coaching because they just click so well. I mean, they love to play fast. They play fast together and sometimes that presents its problems. But we’re working through that and polishing things up for district. It was a fun past week and a really good way to go into district.”

The Lady Falcons and the rest of District 1-3A will begin district play this week. Bushland will host the Tulia Lady Hornets, with both teams looking to start the new year and district play on the right foot.
