AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Randall Lady Raiders soccer team is back in season with hopes of repeating their historic state championship run that made them the only team from the Texas Panhandle to win a state championship in soccer.
The Lady Raiders won the District 3-4A championship last season, setting up their playoff run that led to school history.
Randall head girls soccer coach Whitney Bernard said she is optimistic about the upcoming season and knows the team faces high expectations.
“The girls are ready...they know that they have this huge target and I think they play well like that,” she said. “They play well under pressure. They know what’s expected of them, and they know that win or lose, as long as they give their best effort and all the glory to God, then we can’t go wrong.”
The Lady Raiders are back in action Tuesday facing Frenship at home for a scrimmage. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. CST.
