PANHANDLE, Texas (KFDA) - The No. 1-ranked Panhandle Ettes dominated at home with a 53-25 victory over the visiting Randall Lady Raiders.
Randall opened the scoring when Riley Segura found Paige Bixby in the corner before a bounce pass to Addison McCoid for an early basket.
The Lady Raiders kept pace early as Hailey Hedrick converted a tough and-one finish after drawing contact.
Panhandle answered with a three-pointer from Allie Theis, who knocked down the shot after McCoid grabbed an offensive rebound.
Randall provided a highlight moment as time expired in the first quarter when sophomore Alaina Garcia launched a half-court shot that found nothing but net.
The Ettes demonstrated why they hold the top ranking in Class 2A, controlling the game at home for the 28-point victory despite facing a larger classification opponent.
