AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Several area teams across multiple classifications delivered impressive victories on Tuesday night.
Tascosa dominates Caprock
The Lady Rebels’ defense set the tone early against Caprock, with Nic’Kiyah Fisher recording a steal that led to a missed first shot but an easy putback by Deveah Johnson.
Tascosa continued their strong start as Fisher found her rhythm from beyond the arc, hitting a three-pointer from the wing to help build a 9-0 lead.
Analia Humphrey added to the defensive showcase by jumping a passing lane and converting an easy layup, extending the lead to 15-0.
Caprock showed fight as Tatyana Price connected on a deep three-pointer from the wing after receiving a pass out of the paint, but the Lady Longhorns could not overcome Tascosa’s early dominance, who wins it 77-19.

Nazareth’s championship DNA on display
Fresh off their state championship run, the Nazareth Swiftettes climbed classifications to face West Plains and showed their championship experience.
In the second half, Kate Brockman drove and kicked to Lexi Ramaekers in the corner, who connected on the three-pointer for Nazareth.
West Plains responded with Samaya Vinson working down low before kicking out to Addi Hahn, who found a free lane down the baseline and finished with a reverse layup.
The Swiftettes went back to their shooters as Brynli Schilling found a wide-open Addie Schulte for three.
On the very next possession, West Plains tried to get an isolation at the top of the key, but Haven Wheeler took matters into her own hands, launching a deep three-pointer and connecting for the Lady Wolves.

Despite Wheeler’s response, Nazareth’s championship DNA showed throughout the contest as the Swiftettes controlled the game for the 32-point victory, 53-21.

Amarillo High stays perfect in district
Ninth-ranked Amarillo High defeated Lubbock Coronado 55-36 to improve to 2-0 in district play.
The Lady Sandies controlled the contest against Coronado for the 19-point victory.
Canyon improves to 11-1
The Canyon Lady Eagles defeated the Wall Lady Hawks 48-35 to improve their record to 11-1 on the season.
Kambrie Graser led Canyon with 20 points in the victory over Wall.
Bushland holds off Farwell
In a cross-class battle between 3A and 2A schools, the Bushland Lady Falcons hosted the Farwell Lady Blue in a competitive contest.
Braylen Hall got Bushland started in the first quarter, receiving the ball on the wing and wasting no time getting a three-pointer in the air for the score.
The Lady Blue responded immediately as Cati Dannelley found Averey Miller on the elbow, who made one more pass to Azaylia Evertett on the wing. Evertett drained the three-pointer as time expired in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Berklee Billington went on the attack for Bushland, putting up a floater in the paint that went off the glass for three points the hard way.
Farwell continued to fight back as Kylie McFarland drove and found Cali Dannelley on the wing, who splashed home a three-pointer.

The home court proved to be the edge the Lady Falcons needed as Bushland held on for the eight-point victory, 43-35.
Billington led Bushland with 16 points, while Hall added 7 points.
