ARGYLE, Texas (KFDA) - The West Plains Wolves (4-0) will try and stay perfect after their rematch against Liberty Christian (2-2) this Friday.

West Plains football has gotten off to the best start in program history, winning their first four games and notching wins over teams like Bushland and Seminole for the very first time.

The Warriors, led by former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, started the season off with back-to-back losses, but have rattled off two straight and coming into the game with some momentum.
By Week 5 last season, the Wolves were 2-2 and averaging just over 34 points per game.
This year, they are 4-0 and scoring just under 50 each time they take the field.

Wolves offensive coordinator, Jeff Lyles, knows these are two completely different teams this season and his guys know it will take all they have to offer to get a win against a team like Liberty Christian.
“They’re a very different team, we’re a very different team, and honestly at that time last year we just weren’t very good,” says Lyles. “We had a lot of moving parts... we didn’t really have an identity at that time and so I think that we had to go through all that to gain an identity.”
“I think going there this year... we expect to be competitive and I think our guys have that mindset going in. [Liberty Christian is] what you think they are and so we’re gonna have to show up, put our best foot forward.”
