PAMPA, Texas (KFDA) - After a 2-8 finish last year, the Pampa Harvesters are ready to make some noise for the 2025 football season.
Year 2 for Pampa alum and head coach Floyd White leading the Harvesters, and he can already tell that this year’s team is different.
“I can tell you right now we’re a lot stronger and we’re a lot faster than we were at this time last year,” White says.
The Harvesters know the district battles that lie ahead, but that’s what gives them an edge to get better.
“With the tough district and everything that’s happened in the season last year, it’s one of the biggest motivators coming into this new year,” says senior Reese Waldrip.

“One thing we tell our guys is that nobody feels sorry for you,” says coach White. “Nobody feels sorry that you went 2-8, nobody feels sorry that you were sick this morning... that’s just our district. Our district is tough, it’s hard-nosed. Every day that you go out there, you’ve got to be ready to play... we use that every day as motivation with our guys.”
After rushing for 2,100 yards his freshman season, Max Neff has had a lot of people watching to see what he’d do next.
Now entering his senior year, he’s not worried about the pressure.
“I don’t believe in the pressure, I just perform to what I know I can do,” says Neff.
“I always know there’s going to be negative opinions out there... and as long as you stay grounded and believe in yourself, that’s all you need. ”

Regardless of the outcomes on the field, the Harvesters are ready to play.

“I think it’s going to be better than the past years,” says senior Jarren Hill. “I don’t really care what people have to say about us, but I just know we’re going to come out here every Friday. We’re going to work, we’re going to give everything we’ve got.”
“You’re never going to see us get out there and just lay down on the field,” says coach White. “We’re going to get our butts back up and we’re going to get out there and we’re going to fight until the very end.”
“At the end of the night, we’re going to let the chips fall where they may, but you’re never going to know that you weren’t in a game with the Harvesters.”
