BOYS RANCH, Texas (KFDA) - Boys Ranch athletic director, Brandon Sanders, announced that the high school would be hiring Eric Rodewald as the new head boys basketball, pending board approval.

Rodewald is an experienced coach of over 24 years, coaching predominately at the junior college level but also has been involved at the junior high, high school, and AAU levels as a head and assistant coach.
Most recently, he coached at Midland High School as the assistant girls basketball coach for a year.
His longest coaching stint was at Frank Phillips College in Borger, where he coached for 13 years and holds the title for the all time winningest girls basketball coach in program history with 169 total wins. This was also his first head coaching job in his career.
After his time at Frank Phillips, he coached at Pratt Community College for three seasons as the head coach, coaching a two-time All-American, Princess Anderson, who led the NJCAA in scoring in both of her seasons.

The Roughriders qualified for the postseason for the first time since the 2021-22 season this year after finishing fourth in district play. They fell to Happy in the bi-district round, ending their season with a 9-13 record overall.
