AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Golden Spread All Star basketball tournament is set to be played from April 3-5 and will feature 80 of the best high school girls and boys basketball players around the Texas Panhandle.
This is the 53rd year of the event.
There are 40 girls and 40 boys chosen in total for the event.
There will be four teams of 10 for each gender. The girls teams will play the other girls teams. and the boys teams will play the other boys teams.
Athletes will range from Class 1A all the way up to 5A.

The event begins on Thursday, April 3, where the girls teams will play at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The boys teams will play on Friday, April 4, where the boys teams will play at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The consolation games and championship games will both be on that Saturday. The consolation games will be at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., while the championship games will be at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
All games will be held at River Road High School.
