McLEAN, Texas (KFDA) - McLean senior basketball star Kasidy Russell was named December 2024 Greater Texas Ford Dealers 1A Female Athlete of the Month on Wednesday.
As the only senior on the roster, Russell was instrumental in the Lady Tigers' 11-1 district season and their 13-game win streak that lasted for half of November, and almost all of December.
They finished as area finalists following a loss to Nazareth.
Russell had a standout season. After the stellar senior year, she will continue her basketball career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
