AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Sunray’s senior quarterback/defensive back, Armando Lujan, is currently one of 10 finalists for Dave Campbell’s Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year.
He is the only finalist for this award from the Panhandle.
During Sunray’s last playoff game on Friday against Post, Lujan became the new all-time leader for pass yards in high school, a title formerly held by Booker’s Hunter Lile.
Lujan finished his high school career with 14,600 passing yards.
The Bobcats ended their season with a 12-1 record.
