THE WRAP UP WEEK 3: Game of the Week: Stratford vs Sunray
‘The Wrap Up’ Game of the Week
For the first time since 2011, the Sunray Bobcats have taken down the Stratford Elks. The final score was 31-14.
Both teams came into the night ranked in the top ten of their respective divisions within the 2A classification: Sunray the #8 in Division I, Stratford the #1 in Division II.
This was the 62nd meeting between the two schools. Stratford entered the evening on a 13-game winning streak in the rivalry, but senior star quarterback Armando Lujan and the Bobcats weren’t going to let the opportunity slip away on their own field.
Next week, Sunray will travel to Childress for the Bobcat Bowl. Stratford will look to regroup during a fortunately-timed bye week.
