DUMAS, Texas (KFDA) - Coach Aaron Dunnam and his players are ready to prove themselves this season.
After going 4-7 overall and 2-2 in district play, the Demons want better successes going forward.
With that being said, Dunnam needs leaders. For some, stepping into a leadership role means putting the team’s needs over their own.
“Leadership goes a long way...especially in football because it’s not a single person sport,” senior defensive tackle Zavian Quiroga said.
For Dunnam, making sure his players are well rounded as players, students, and people is one of his top goals.

“We’re trying to teach consistency in our kids lives, not only on the football field, but throughout the community [and] in the classroom,” Dunnam said. “It’s an everyday grind do the right things and to live for the man next to you, not yourself.”
Dumas starts the season on the road against the Caprock Longhorns on Aug. 30. District play starts Oct. 11 at home, where the Demons will face the Randall Raiders.
